Experience:
Dr Purcell is consultant cardiologist at the Freeman Hospital since 2002 with responsibility for all aspects of general cardiology and specialist experience in percutaneous coronary intervention and transcatheter intervention for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
He’s also clinical lead of North East and North Cumbria Cardiac Network since 2019.
He works across all aspects of general cardiology with special interest in chest pain, angina, coronary artery disease, heart attacks, valve disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (heart muscle disease), percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty and stents).
