Mr Mohammed specialises in procedures for the nose, ear and throat.

- Surgery to straighten a deviated nasal septum (septoplasty)
- Sinus surgery (functional endoscopic sinus surgery)
- Surgical procedure to open blocked sinus drainage pathways (balloon-plasty)
- Surgery (eustachian tube surgery) to treat blocked tubes connecting middle ear to the throat (eustachian tube dysfunction)
- Surgical procedure to repair damaged or ruptured eardrum (tympanoplasty)
- Microscopic techniques and prostheses designed to repair or replace the damaged middle ear bones, for treatment for conductive hearing loss (ossiculoplasty)
- Hearing implants
- Surgical procedure to reconstruct bones in the middle ear (stapedectomy) to treat conductive hearing loss caused by abnormal bone growth which freezes these bones (otosclerosis)
- An operation (tympanomastoid surgery) to remove a cholesteatoma, a growth in the middle ear that can cause infections and hearing loss
- Tonsillectomy
- Removal of adenoids (adenoidectomy)

Experience
Mr Mohammed also has special interest in nose, sinuses and voice procedures and offers specialist assessment and treatment.
His internationally-renowned fellowship training means that he can offer advanced surgical skills and a range of hearing rehabilitation options for all types of hearing loss. He treats adults and children with ear discharge, discomfort, tinnitus and dizziness. This is in addition to treatment of conditions affecting the base of the skull, as well as keyhole surgery for sinus and nasal problems.
Mr Mohammed’s training was in the North East ENT High Surgical Training programme, undergoing extensive training in all aspects of ENT surgery at a number of centres. He has worked in centres of excellence across the country including the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, University college London, Oxford and Cambridge. He has also visited other centres such as Manchester and Great Ormond Street Hospital. He did a fellowship in otology and hearing implants in the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital.
